  The food and service was fine enough, nice ladies in there, good food. One thing though, if you're checking/ordering from their website, their prices have changed. I've let them know so hopefully it will be updated soon... the single meals are now $12.95 rather than $8.95, a bit of a shock when I got there as I wasn't told, "It'll be $x," on the phone. So yeah, great restaurant, just be aware at least Single and Family platters have jumped $4-10, I didn't go through the rest of the menu.

  My favourite Chinese food restaurant. Delicious food, good prices, and kind staff. I like to eat in, but when ordering out I will drive the 20 minutes to get it from here versus closer restaurants.

  Extremely dissatisfied! Ordered food took an hr to get and it was cold then missing a dish! I called and told them, they pretty much accused me of lying. My child's favourite thing is beef and broccoli and we didnt recieve it, all she kept repeating was she put 6 dishes in and I kept telling her we only received 5. She didn't apologize or anything. I told her she could come check my whole house if she wanted to and still just said I know I put 6 in. The only good thing about that whole phone call was when a young girl came on after and apologized and offered to refund me money. Needless to say I will never order from here again after being treated like some sort of criminal and then not bringing us the dish or even offering us to pick it up. Huge fail on there half!

  My bf and I would consider ourselves regulars at new empress. Their prices were good, portion sizes were big and awesome chicken fried rice. But we just ordered yesterday and when we got there expecting to pay around $25 for our meal (pick up) they informed us they no longer use their old website, have a new one, and RAISED their prices! We paid almost $35 for our meal (with a 10% discount..) that used to cost us $25. They also used to have 15% off $20+ pick up but now it's 10% off of $35? That's ridiculous. And their chicken fried rice doesn't taste the same anymore, which is really a shame! They used to be affordable with good food but now they're expensive with okay food. We may come back and order again but will most likely go somewhere else in the future.

  The decor is the only nice thing I can say about this restaurant. Service was ok but certainly not the best. Food is huge portions and tasteless! Had the Chicken Chow mein, sweet and sour pork with fried shrimp. Will not be returning
